Barum & Dewar …. 2016 Business of the Year
Shortlisted as a finalist in three categories at the recent North Devon Business Awards, Barum & Dewar were delighted to pick up one of the top awards - 2016 Small Business of the Year.
In this category judges were looking for all round business excellence with strong leadership, innovation, product development, customer engagement and staff training just some of the areas of scrutiny. In Barum & Dewar they said they were “blown away” with the work undertaken by B&D both in terms of the technical nature of many of its products and the high levels of client engagement involved.
MD, David Frame commented: “This award is a fitting tribute to the commitment of all the team at Barum & Dewar who are not only passionate about delivering the very best in packaging solutions to all our clients but seek to do so in an engaging and collaborative manner. B&D is a growth focussed entrepreneurial business who relish the challenges our clients set us and our ability to deliver cost effective yet technically innovative solutions is a key reason why clients partner with us”
Barum & Dewar were finalists in two other categories: Made in North Devon and Excellence in Customer Service.

Heading to Scotland to attend this year’s Entrepreneurial Scotland Annual Conference will be a senior team from Barum & Dewar.
An entrepreneurial spirit is deep rooted in B&D and as a member of the ES Leaders Exchange, MD David Frame has long recognised the benefits to be gained from joining with fellow entrepreneurs at this “go to” event.
By inviting key members of the B&D team to join him at this year’s Conference David hopes to share with them the enthusiasm and passion for business that the event inspires.

Congratulations to B&D Group MD, David Frame
Having been selected as one of twenty to participate in the pioneering Growth Advantage Programme (GAP), B&D Managing Director, David Frame graduated last month from Strathclyde Business School.
The Programme which was developed by the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship at Strathclyde Business School is the first of its kind in Scotland combining research-based ‘useful learning’, with useful insight from some of Scotland’s most influential entrepreneurs, including Sir Tom Hunter.
GAP is the country’s first dedicated core growth programme designed for and specifically aimed at ambitious entrepreneurs and business owners looking to scale up their businesses. GAP gives participants the opportunity to learn how to grow their business further while building relationships and expanding their network. The Programme aims to enable entrepreneurs and growth-focused business owners to realise their organisation’s full potential.
