Designed and constructed in exactly the same way as B&D’s acclaimed full size DELTA® rack range the smaller and lighter ½ 19” format rack provides clients with additional flexibility when configuring ½ width equipment enabling racks to be tailored exactly to the needs of the project.

Constructed with aluminium or plastic honeycomb panels which are secured into an aluminium extruded frame with patented corners and bracing. This innovative solution provides incredible strength whilst being lightweight.

B&D can assist with the design of the equipment configuration within the case, taking care of fully populated connector panels, support brackets, slide out shelving and fitting of non-standard items.

Coloured SKB 3i series handles are now available from Barum & Dewar.

Blue, red, green, yellow and original black enable cases to be easily identified. Handles can be specified pre-installed when ordering new cases or supplied separately for easy fitting to existing stock. Coming in small, medium and large sizes a great range of the 3i series can be customised.

These innovative handles complement existing comprehensive bespoke case solutions offered by B&D such as custom foam inserts, accessory bags and case labelling.

Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to be at the leading edge of 3D design and the benefits that brings both to B&D and their customers B&D have moved to the latest version their CAD software and are now running Creo 4.0 from PTC.

With a wide range of customers in many industries Creo allows the B&D design team to work with client CAD data to both conceptualise ideas in early phases and verify for production in the later stages of the design process.

Creo is PTC’s flagship 3D CAD software and enables B&D to work effectively and efficiently, the latest enhancements improve design iteration options and speed up drawing creation in the production phase. B&D have extensive experience using Creo undertaking many packaging and shipping projects including numerous space hardware containers for shipping to worldwide launch sites and a re-usable system for shipping large scientific equipment across Europe.

Creo is a 3D modelling system used by many house hold names to undertake and manage their design process, these include BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Adidas and Philips.
